About Us
Breeding quality camelids
Welcome to Outlaw Family Farm! We're the Outlaws, and we're proud to call Vass, North Carolina, home. Since establishing our farm in 2024, we've been dedicated to building a herd of exceptional llamas through the careful selection of top-quality genetics. Our focus is on producing animals with outstanding conformation, premium fiber, and excellent temperaments.
Our Vision
At Outlaw Family Farms, our vision is to become a premier agritourism destination where families, animal enthusiasts, and military communities can experience the beauty of agriculture through unforgettable, hands-on animal encounters. We are committed to raising exceptional livestock, providing educational programs, and creating meaningful experiences that foster a deeper appreciation for farming, conservation, and the human-animal bond. By combining ethical animal stewardship, community outreach, and interactive experiences, we hope to inspire future generations while making Outlaw Family Farms a place where lifelong memories are created.
Michael, originally from Plant City, Florida, studied Animal Science at the University of Georgia and has spent his career managing large-scale poultry operations while also developing successful goat and Angus cattle herds. His fascination with llamas began in 2021 with the purchase of a single llama, and that passion has since grown into a carefully curated herd of more than 20 exceptional llamas. Each animal is thoughtfully selected from breeders across the country to ensure outstanding genetics, sound conformation, and excellent temperament. As the farm continues to grow, Michael has recently expanded into raising camels, bringing even more unique experiences and opportunities to Outlaw Family Farms while remaining committed to responsible animal care and agricultural excellence.
Amanda, originally from Buffalo, New York, has had a lifelong passion for animal care and education. While living in Europe, she had the opportunity to visit many animal parks and wildlife sanctuaries. Drawing from those experiences, Amanda developed Outlaw Family Farms' unique educational and interactive animal programs designed to connect local families, military families, and the community with livestock in a fun and engaging way. She is especially passionate about the therapeutic benefits of human-animal interactions and incorporates principles of llama-assisted therapy into many of the farm's programs to promote confidence, emotional well-being, and meaningful connections.
